of the Day
Kavana debates all the problems of the world in his step-by-step
guide to the

The Government
I'm not into politics at all but if I was a Member of Parliament I'd
do more for the homeless, and perhaps even legalise certain
things. From a selfish point of view I'd vote Conservative as I think
they have better tax relief policies. But when it actually came
to it I'd vote Labour as being a Conservative doesn't seem right!
The Royal Family
If I met the Queen I'd just give her a big kiss on the smacker and
then ask her if she fancied a pint, heh heh. I think it's silly the
way the royals carry on, I mean what's the point of not allowing Prince
Charles to marry Camilla? Shouldn't they be setting a
good example? Well, it isn't exactly a bad example marrying someone
you love, is it?
Love & Marriage
I don't really believe in love at first sight but I do believe that
you can be instantly attracted to someone. To fall deeply in love
with someone you have to know who they are and want to be with them
all time. I don't think you should marry before you're
18 as most people haven't lived. By that I mean you should have learnt
a lot and realise that marriage is an important thing -
that's the way I was brought up.
Bullying
I hate bullies. I was never a bully but I used to see it going on.
They'd pick on kids who were different because of their accent
or colour, anything would start it off. My advice to anyone being bullied
is to tell someone you can trust - and remember, it's the
bully who's insecure, not you.
Sex
I think the age of consent is just right but it should be the same
whatever your sexuality. It's difficult to know where to draw the
line as young people will do what they want anyway, although I know
the age barrier is there to safeguard younger people who
may take advantage. When I was at school 'condom' was a dirty word
and there was no mention of sex education at all. It's
about time sex education was made compulsory in schools.
The Press
I think the press have too much access to people's personal lives.
At this stage in my career I need coverage but it's hard to
control the amount you have. As for photographers zooming in on people
with those massive lenses, that's just not on. There
should be a law against it, as there should be against all those kiss-and-tell
stories.
Life
I definitely believe there's life on other planets, there has to be.
In fact just the other night, when I came in after a couple of
glasses of shandy booze, I saw this thing flying past the window. Am
I sure it wasn't the neighbours playing frisbee? No, that's
just a silly suggestion, isn't it?!
Reincarnation
If I was to be reincarnated I'd come back as a bird because I'd love
to be able to fly. When I was little I had a Superman
cape... it had two rods sewn into the sides which I used to flap about.
I thought that if I ran fast enough it would make me fly.
That's why I'd like to come back as a bird, to fulfil my ambition!
