Where've You Been Hiding, Mate?
(Laughs) well I went to Italy to
record my album 'cause that's where the producers wanted me to do it. And
I stayed over there for three months, all on my own, hibernating! Some
of my mates did come over to visit me for long weekends and my sister came
out too, but for the most of the time, it was just me, on me tod!
Didn't You Get A Bit Bored On
Your Own?
I just got myslef into a little
routine of like work through the day - maybe go to the gym, sunbathe...that's
about it. I was in bed by around 9.30 every night! I was really
boring, but I needed to chill out for a while.

Mega-Fit and Healthy
(Grins) Aw, cheers mate!
I just hope I can stay looking like this. I had a bit of a rough time when
I left my manager last year, so I decided to go to Los Angeles for a month
- again on my own - and I decided to get healthy, so I hired a personal
trainer.
Back To Italy, were You Beaching-it
Every Day?
Not until the last few days 'cause
I was stuck in the studio. but before I came back I had some free time,
so I hit the beach.
In the Nuddy?
Almost. I was told that I
was being immodest 'cause I just used to sunbathe in my pants! My mates
said it was embarrasing, but I didn't care because no one recognised me
in Italy! I liked that. Back home I used to wear a cap because I was paranoid
about being recognised, but over there I could completely relax.
Can You Speak Fluent Italian Now?
(Laughs) You gotta be joking!
I can just about handle the basics like 'Ciao!', but I've discovered
that if you just talk in English with an Italian accent everyone understands
you! Italian is a sexy language though. In fact I fell in love with the
whole place. The people are passionate and laid-back. Like you'll see two
men walking down the street with their arms around each other. You'd never
see that over here.
Did You Snog Any Italian Girls?
Nah, but there was this crazy girl
who'd post me letters through the iron gates of the villa where I was staying.
She'd threaten to come and grab me in the night, which was pretty scary!
I had to double-lock my door at night!
So Why Have You Changed Managers?
I wish I could say it was some big
controversial thing, but it wasn't. I just wanted to move in a different
direction.
Have You Caught Up With Any of
Your Old Pop Pals?
Nah. I haven't seen Boyzone, 911...
the only people I've seen are Spice Girls when they played in Milan. I've
really missed everybody and I'm raring to go again!
